The school celebrated the Grand parents’ day for KG I & II on 12 September, 2018 for the first time in ISAS. The grandparents who visited ISAS made it a huge success.
The school celebrated the Teacher’s day Assembly on 05 September, 2018 in a grand manner. The students of ISAS made it a really entertaining programme with their creative drama, enthralling music and breathtaking dance.
The school celebrated the Merit Award Ceremony on 30th August, 2018 in a grand manner. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Chairmain, Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman, Mr. baby Sam Sammuel and Honorary guest was the Director-In-Charge for ISAS Mr. Selvichen Jacob.
The school celebrated the 69th Republic Day of India on 26th January, 2018 in a grand manner. The Chief Guest for the occasion was H. E. Indra Mani Pandey, the Ambassador of India to Oman.
The Class II students of the school put up a special assembly on 24th January, 2018 to marks the 69th Republic Day of India.

In its pursuit to fully acquaint the students with the nuances of art and to provide them an enriched global outlook, ISAS organized a visit to the Art Exhibition at the Scientific College of Design on Tuesday, 4th November, 2015.
A group of 31 students which comprised of the Art Club students of Class IX and the Fine Arts Students of Class XI witnessed the Exhibition with the Art teachers, Mr. Saiman V and Mr. Vijay K. Prior to the exhibition, a workshop was conducted for the students and sketches were made by the students on “Creative Thinking”. The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Abed Obed and Mr. C Jawahar, the Fine Arts Faculties of the Department of Fine Arts, SCD.
The Art Club members visited the solo Art Exhibition of Mr. C. Jawahar, titled, “Wild Horses” and discussed on the paintings and sculptures of the Exhibition with him. Very patiently he gave an ear to their queries and satisfied their curiosity on each and every sphere of art. The Art Club members also visited the different sections of the department, the studios and the labs escorted by the resource person and the teachers.
The students were marvelled at the display of various forms of art which, indeed, was highly informative. The visit gave them a wide exposure and honed their innate artistic talents.
Principal, Mr. Nagesh Kelkar extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Dean of the Scientific College of Design, Dr. Mona Kamal Ismail for inviting the students to their esteemed institution and for opening up vistas of art before them. He also opined that such frequent visits will help the students update their knowledge and get an insight into the modern forms of art.

Major Anil Sharma, recipient of the pretigious Shaurya Chakra, visit the school on 18th October, 2015. He gave an enlightening presentation on the various opportunities available with the indian army and the way to sieze those opportunities. He also had a leadership seminar for the Student Coucil members.

Indian School Al Seeb initiated the celebration on EARTH DAY on 22nd April 2015. The morning assembly was conducted by the students of Class V & VI. To follow the mark of the important day students of Class VI A& B performed a skit on the Conservation of the Resources. They encouraged their fellow students to understand the concept through the placards. Their talent was brought on the stage by Ms. Nithyavathi. To make the day meaningful Vice Principal Ms. Chandravathi Vishnu appreciated the effort done by the students and the teachers.
Students of Class X E delivered a speech through PA System Assembly on the importance of the Earth Day and explained the ways to save natural resources for the our sustainable life.
Some members of Eco Nature Club brought potted saplings to the school to mark the event of Earth Day.
Indian School Al Seeb students had visited Um Waraqa Al Ansari (MOE) school as a part of an exchange program.

Mrs. Rashmi Kumar has been selected to attend the 5 day training of Speaking and Listening skills as Examiner Trainers (ASL-ETs) after taking the CBSE devised on-line test in November, 2013. This training is a life time opportunity and will help her immensely as a teacher trainer for children as well as an External Examiner to go to other schools and as a resourse person for teachers in future in the enhancement of the speaking and listening skills.
The CBSE National Athletic Meet was conducted at Sunbeam School, Bhagwanpur, Varanasi, India between 19th December and 22nd December, 2013. Four students from the school qualified for this competition in 5 different events. The students who qualified for the CBSE National Athletic Meet were: Rajesh Kumar, Aiswarya Lakshmi, Sree Lekshmi S, and Pooja Musale.
Aishwarya Lakshmi of Class VIII won the GOLD MEDAL in the long jump event in the U-14 category!
The CBSE Oman Cluster Athletic Meet 2013 was held at Indian School Muscat on the 8th and 9th of December, 2013. 30 students from Indian School Seeb participated in various events, winning 5 Gold, 4 Silver, and 8 Bronze medals. In addition, four students qualified for the CBSE National Athletic Meet. Indian School Seeb was placed 5th with 108 points.

Indian School Al Seeb students were all keyed up as Mr. SAS Naqvi, fondly known as Naqvi Saheb by his fans, entered the assembly area amidst a loud roar of applause. The children had gathered there to venerate Major Dhyan Chand, the Wizard of Hockey and to felicitate another legendary player of the Indian Olympic hockey team, Mr. Naqvi, who has been the former Technical Advisor and a coach to the Oman Olympic Committee, presently working as the Sports Consultant to Oman Hockey Association.
The assembly was well attended by the dignitaries from the School Management committee, Mr. Ravi Jayanthi, Mr. Julius Antony and Mr. Sreekumar.
The programme was anchored by Amala Vinson of Class IX A. It began with the lighting of the lamp and a soulful prayer by the school choir. Anagha Pramod, a versatile student and CBSE Cluster level athlete welcomed the revered guest with a bouquet. The school’s boys and girls hockey teams felt very privileged when they were blessed by Naqvi Saheb for their future endeavours. In his welcome speech, the Principal, Mr. Nagesh Kelkar expressed his heart’s elation at receiving such a phenomenal persona who has been an epitome of hard work, humility and honesty. He aptly said that words were not enough to encapsulate the extraordinary accreditations of Mr. Naqvi. He reminded children that they should be proud to pick up this national game where the precious seventy minutes teach you to value the management of time, stamina, planning and hard work. He whole-heartedly thanked the School’s Management Committee for always supporting the academics and sport activities for the benefit of the children. The school choir enthralled the audience with a highly motivational song, ‘Badhe Chalo’.
There is a saying that simplicity is the key note to all true elegance and it befits the Chief Guest most aptly. Mr. Naqvi congratulated the school management and the principal for establishing such a noble tradition of remembering Major Dhyan Chand. He regaled the audience with the interesting anecdotes from Major Dhyan Chand’s Olympic matches and by telling them that he got the opportunity of playing in the Golden Era of Indian hockey from 1949 to1972 and be associated with stalwarts like dada Dhyan Chand, dada Kishen Lal and Sh. K D Singh Babu, the veteran players of the Indian Olympic hockey team. He expressed his happiness at being with the Seeb children. He highly lauded the initiation of the first girls’ hockey team in Oman in Indian School Al Seeb. He thanked Mr. Salih Thacher and Mr. Mohd. Rayis for accompanying him, and, for introducing him to such a wonderful set of children.
The Convener of the School Management Committee, Mr. Ravi Jayanthi thanked Naqvi Saheb on behalf of all and reminded children to follow the footsteps of such a renowned sports person who could read and write at this age without the aid of spectacles. He asked the children to make games and sports an integral part of their life to remain fit and healthy like this great hockey player. The programme ended with a formal note of thanks by Nishanth Roy of Class IX B, followed by the School Anthem.
Later that day, the students enjoyed the exhibition of all the innumerable, international level awards, trophies and medals of Sr. SAS Naqvi, which he graciously agreed to hand over to the school to be exhibited for the benefit of the children. They were seen requesting Mr. Naqvi for his autographs as he is the most sought after face on the Face Book also. The students, teachers and the management were elated at the glowing remarks written by Naqvi Saheb in the Visitor’s Record Book of the school, as he appreciated each and every one’s effort meticulously. In short this was the most appropriate way to pay tribute to one great man, Major Dhyan Chand by venerating another great player such as Sh. SAS Naqvi.

The school held a special assembly on 20th November to mark the 43rd National Day of the Sultanate of Oman. Various cultural events were displayed that showcased the rich traditions of Oman.
A workshop on Mobile Robotics was conducted in Indian School Al Seeb on 11th and 12th November, 2013 by Mr.Prateek Gupta from Innovians Technologies.
This workshop provided school students a base to mobile/GSM robotics and rich hands-on experience in designing three different kinds of robots – Manual Robot, Line Follower Robot & Mobile Controlled Robot – in a single workshop.
At the end of this workshop, a small competition was organized among the participants and winners were awarded a ‘Certificate of Excellence’. ‘Certificate of Merit’ were also given to all workshop participants from Innovians Technologies.
In the closing ceremony, one of the participants, Master Aritra Ghosh of Class XI, expressed his sincere gratitude and admiration to Prateek Gupta on behalf of all the participants for giving them a rare opportunity to explore learning across disciplines. Principal Nagesh Kelkar distributed the certificates to the winners and congratulated the team for their excellent performance. Mr. Prateek Gupta presented a certificate of appreciation to the Principal from Innovians Technologies for organizing the workshop.
The school held a Vigilance Day Special Assembly on 12th November, 2013.
The school held its annual exhibition on 31st October and 1st November. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Mohan Varma, Dean of Waljat College of Applied Sciences.
Indian School Al Seeb children sparked, ignited their minds, and fired their passion for a noble cause by taking part in the 10th Annual Walkathon, organized by the Oman Cancer Association on the 29th October, 2013, for a distance of 2 km at Qurum Natural Park. There were around 60 students and a team of 8 teachers to boost and support this campaign to serve the cause.
The school held an Eid Special Assembly on 27th October, 2013.
The school held an Arabic Recitation competition on 24th October, 2013.
ISAS celebrated UN Day to commemorate the formation of UN with great fervour. The morning assembly started with a prayer. A speech highlighting the importance of the day was delivered by Diya Elizabeth Jacob of IX B. It was followed by a presentation which depicted the various organs of UN which made the gathering aware of the functions of UN. Principal Mr. Nagesh Kelkar addressed the gathering and shared the importance of the event with the students. He conveyed the message that the aim of UN is to promote peace and social justice in the world. He conducted an interactive session with the students asking them various questions and stressing on the need to understand the importance of the day. He concluded with a message for the children to follow the principles of United Nation in the school situation and to be good human beings. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
The school held a Cancer Association special assembly on 22nd October, 2013. The guest of honour for the occasion was Ms. Yuthar Mohammed Al Rawahy, the Hon. President, Founder and Chairperson of the Oman Cancer Association.
The school held a Gandhi Jayanthi special assembly on 21st October. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Srinivas K. Naidu, Principal of Indian School Muscat.
The school inaugurated the Eco-Nature club on 10th October. The chief guest for the occasion was Mrs. Lamees Daar, Executive Director of the Environment Society of Oman.
The CBSE Oman Cluster Basketball Tournament 2013-14 was held at Indian School Muscat between 6th to 8th October 2013. ISAS won the second position in this tournament.
