HISTORY OF ISAS
Indian School Al Seeb, an English medium co-educational school, established in the year 2002, managed by a Committee referred to as School Management Committee, under the aegis of Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman, stands proud and privileged in Mabellah. The school underwent a shift of location from the rented venue to its own custom-built structure on 1st October 2007. It was inaugurated by H.E Anil Wadhwa, Ambassador of India, to the Sultanate of Oman, on 30th September 2007.
The School located at Mabellah, sprawling over an area of 13,000 Sq.m with an exceptional infrastructure that includes a playfield, basketball court, Computer Science and Science Labs, spacious classrooms, Staff Rooms, Multi-Purpose Hall, Canteen and ample parking space for vehicles.
The school aims at the development of an integrated personality of each child/student by providing education with a holistic perspective dealing with each student’s intellectual, emotional, social, cognitive, physical, artistic, creative and spiritual potentials. It seeks to engage students in the teaching/learning process and encourages personal and collective responsibility; accountability towards parents, towards society, towards country hence moulding the students to be better human beings and preparing them to be successful in all aspects of life.
Indian School Al Seeb is approved by the Ministry of Education, Oman, and has been affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, India.
The medium of instruction in the school is English, with Hindi, Malayalam, or Tamil as Second language till Class V and Hindi or Malayalam for classes VI – VIII. Hindi, Malayalam, Arabic, Tamil, Sanskrit, and French are the additional languages from Class V to VIII fulfilling the requirement of a third language by the Central Board of Secondary Education for Indian students. In Class IX, Hindi, Malyalam, Arabic, and Tamil are offered as Second language options. In Class X, Hindi, Malayalam, and Arabic are offered as second language options.
The school is up to Senior Secondary level offering Science, Commerce, Humanities streams with Informatics Practices, Computer Science, Psychology, Economics Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Physical Education, Information Technology, and Fine Arts (Painting) as other options.
