INVESTITURE CEREMONY-2021
In order to scale the heights and reach the pinnacle of success, Indian School Al Seeb, always strives to inculcate a sense of responsibility and commitment among the students with their heads held high, ready to shoulder responsibilities as leaders. To imbibe the leadership qualities in the students, the Student Council for the year 2021-22, was elected. The elected students were interviewed by the Student Council Selection Committee under the leadership of the Principal Dr. Leena Francis.
The Virtual Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2021-22 was held on the 15th of June 2021 by Indian School Al Seeb. The chief guest for the event was Dr. Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman . Mr. M P Vinoba, Sr. Principal & Edn. Advisor, Board of Directors Indian Schools in Oman, President of the School Management Committee, Mr. Moidu A.K and other members of the School Management Committee and Principal Dr. Leena Francis graced the occasion.
Principal Dr. Leena Francis administered the solemn oath of office to the members of the Student Council including the Ceremonial Council & Prefectorial Council 2021-2022 after leading a red carpet march with elected student council following the leader, displaying spectacular and well-coordinated movement. The Chief Guest Dr. Sivakumar Manickam blessed the newly elected student council while the principal Dr. Leena Francis, Vice Principal for Middle and Senior Section, Mrs. Shiney Roy, Assistant Vice Principal for Primary Section, Mrs Premlata Mangalath, Mr Jerald Serrao, Head of the Examination department & Coordinator of the student Council for the academic year 2021-22, House Masters and Mistress, bespangled the proud leaders with their insignia while the virtual auditorium throbbed with thunderous applause. The newly elected Head Girl of Indian School Al Seeb, Lakshmi Priyaanjani Krishnan of XIIC took the pledge of integrity and loyalty towards the school on behalf of the Student Council .
In his address, on this momentous occasion, the Chief Guest Dr Sivakumar Manickan said that education is the mother of leadership; leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. He congratulated the student leaders. A yearbook reflecting the thoughts, experiences of the year of Pandemic by the students and faculties, a novel venture by outgoing batch of class XII, 2020-21 Ceremonial Council, was released by the Chief Guest.
During this occasion Mr. M P Vinoba, Sr. Principal & Edn. Advisor, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman launched the “ Read Out Loud Library Books” a compilation of 40 videos, reading or narrating the story with animations, an initiative by Ceremonial Council of class XII for the primary and kindergarten students. In his speech he emphasized that we must instill the habit of reading and encourage kids to read more.
It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders.
